Welcome to a New Year Learning
Gardens Families and Staff! With winter finally upon us I wanted
to touch on a few important things that come up during these
cold weather months.
The Learning Gardens is closed when The Madison School District
is closed due to inclement weather. Please listen to WIBA-AM
(1310) or Z104-FM (104.1 WZEE) or watch WISC-TV for closing
updates.
Also, with the frigid temperatures outside, it can be very
tempting to leave your car running in the parking lot while
you drop off or pick up your children. However, due to a City
of Madison ordinance, you may be ticketed and/or towed for doing
this. More importantly, leaving your car running while unattended
is a serious safety issue for our children. We all know how
quickly young children can get into places they are not supposed
to be! For your safety as well as the children's, we ask that
you turn off your engine before coming into the building.
Also, please do not leave children unattended in the car. This
is a serious safety issue that concerns us.
With all the waiting for cold weather over, let's have a great
rest of the winter together!
