Baby
Belugas
Bridget Berigan & Catherine Gunderson
We are sp excited to be celebrating a brand new year! With the
New Year brings a couple of changes in the Beluga Room! Even
and Jacob have graduated and moved to the Treehouse Room! We
are very sad to see them go but they are very happy to be "big
boys" now! We will miss them but know they will have loads
of fun in their new room. With the two boys leaving we are happy
to welcome some new babies to our class. Henry started on January
3rd and is the little brother on Ethan (Sunshine Room and Mara
(Polar Bear Room). Henry is following in his siblings footsteps
by becoming a Beluga! WELCOME HENRY! At the end of January we
will also welcome Caroline! Caroline's big sister Eleanor was
also a Beluga too! It is so much fun to have the younger siblings
join us! WELCOME COROLINE! WE are glad that both Henry and Caroline
are now with us!
We also will be celebrating three birthdays in January! Emmanuelle
will be the BIG 1 on the 13th, Arthur will turn 1 on the 15th,
and Becca hits the big milestone of turning 1 on the 30th! We
wish all three of our babies a VERY HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!
With the weather being cold, we are not able to get outside
very much (if at all!). We now have gym time everyday and we
do try and get the older ones down there for some large motor
activities. We also play in the hallways with the one year olds
if the gym isn't free. The interaction is fun to watch between
the two groups and the ones are very "helpful" with
the babies! Please remember too remove your shoes before entering
the classroom as well. This helps keep our floors clean and
dry during the winter months!
Just a few reminders for everyone…
" On Monday mornings please take a few minutes to make
your babies bed. Mondays are tough and if there bed isn't ready
when we go to put them down for a nap it can be very disruptive
to them.
" Please make sure that all clothing, bottles, and nuks
are labeled. We have many children who use the same type of
bottle and nuk. We do try to mark them with colored labels,
but sometimes we run out of time (and colors!).
" When calling the room please leave us a message including
day and time of call. There are times that we just can't get
to the phone right away. We will call you back as soon as we
have a free moment! Our room is very busy these days, so it
may take a bit! Please remember as well that is we do not get
back to you, your baby is doing just fine and we have no concerns.
We always call is you if you need an answer about something,
or if your baby has not been feeling well and we need to touch
base about them.
As always you are welcome to come visit anytime, call when
you want, and ask as many questions as you need too! We are
happy to help and to partner with you in these early months
of your babies life! Each baby is a joy and we are fortunate
that you have chosen us to care for them!
