Hello Bumble Families! Summer is here! We are so excited to
be getting outside a lot more now! Please make sure we have
sunscreen and sun hats!!! Now is a great time to check out your
child's extra clothes box in the changing table area to make
sure we have some cooler clothes and things that still fit!
You may have noticed some changes happening in our room! The
biggest change being that we no longer having exersaucers, jumpers,
and swings in the room! Through my classes and almost all the
research I've read about them, the support for using them is
not great. The recommended use is in moderation between 10-15
minutes. So if you have them at home, don't worry your baby
still can enjoy them at home without a problem! We are excited
that our room that focuses more on babies' gross motor development,
and these toys are not very conductive to gaining skills, muscle
development, and good body alignment. Achieving the important
milestones of sitting, cruising, and walking, are best accomplished
by playing in the natural environment and on the floor! So look
forward to your baby getting to spend lots of time playing with
friends on the floor!
Heidi has been able to get pictures sent out weekly now on
Sunday nights! She hopes you've been able to enjoy seeing pictures
of your child at school! If you've still been unable to get
into the pictures or if you haven't gotten the emails inviting
you to view them, Please let her know!
We've had a busy few months in our room as friends have really
started sitting, moving, and almost walking! We've celebrated
Parker and Anusha's first birthdays! We are also sad to say
good-bye and good luck to Parker as he moves on to the Teddy
Bear classroom and Onnalin who gets the wonderful opportunity
to stay home with her Grandma this summer! We will be having
two new friends starting in July! We look forward to having
new families join our Bumble Baby group! We can't wait!
One last final reminder, if you see food on the counter in our
room, that's our food for meals! Please don't take from this
or our babies won't have food to eat! If there is extra Julie
will put them out in the entry way across from the computers
by the coffee! Thanks!
